Officially this is my Birthday, our breakfast is the Birthday cake. What’s plan for today? We will go to Garden By The Bay, the key priority for today trip. We’re preparing now, I wore the birthday present – Black shirt, Jesse wore a colorful flowery legging pants and Junki looks like a fashion designer/editor.
We went out and took MRT to Orchard area. We have brunch at food court in the one of the malls at Orchard (Can’t remember the name). We have rice and pork set, it’s expensive.. but lucky the taste was good. After finished the brunch, we’re going up to the street of Orchard.
I don’t know much about Orchard. But they said it’s one of the main area of Singapore especially for Shopping Malls. Orchard has a big road and big pedestrian street. Side by side are the big buildings, shops and malls. The famous one is NGE ANN CITY, but people always called it Takashimaya. Too bad we’re short of time, cannot hang out inside the mall, chilling in cafe, window shopping etc. We must go to Garden soon. The malls seem very inviting and tempting to visit. I love walking and feel amazing if I’ll be able to be here at night or christmas season, for a night walk, enjoy the urban life.
Fountain in front of NGE ANN CITY, Junki said it’s iconic and tourist always take pictures here.. Haha.. just do it! JUMP!
We took MRT and reached Marina Bay. We have to walked along the hallway. I love this hallway, wide, big, long… and it has a lot of mirrors and flower backdrop. They’re pretty, various flower and colors. We chose our favorite flower backdrop and took picture.. I love it!
Remember I mentioned about Jesse flowery legging pants? There’s a flower backdrop that look alike her pants pattern and color. So when she stood there, she camouflaged like a chameleon. Haha…
We walked to the Garden By The Bay. This place was recommended by my Joseph and Hans, they’re friend of mine and also Fitness First Instructors. They said this place is very beautiful especially The Dome attraction. It is a MUST to go. I amazed with their story so I asked Junki to take me there. It’s also the first time for her and Jesse, so we’re very curious and excited about it.
From far away, we can see the Tree Branch Tower that looks like fairytale trees.. it called SUPERTREE GROVE, very iconic and unique. It’s really a nice place, right behind us is the massive giant building. Woahhh! There’s also a lake, they called it Dragonfly & Kingfisher Lakes, I wonder if we allowed to fishing here, haha..
I knew Singapore has that iconic building.. saw it on TV, poster, flyer, friends photos etc.. now here I am, Marina Bay Sands! So Big and Magnificent!! We’re so close. Ahh why the time so short! Can’t even go inside the building. Well, just take the photo at the outside..
“I FEEL GREATTTTTTT!!!!” “MAGNIFICICENT!!”
Garden by the Bay has a lot ot attractions – Flower Dome, Cloud Forest, Supertree Grove, Heritage Gardens, Dragonfly & Kingfisher Lakes, Bay East Garden, World of Plants, Far East Organization and Children’s Garden. And I’m sure there also have research facility and science, laboratory. We might not be able to visit all the attraction 😦 , So little time so much to enjoy. After crossing the bridge, the first attraction is Heritage Gardens.
Heritage Garden is free and open for public, people can visit and look at the flowers and plants. Rest and relax, enjoy the beautiful scene. The Heritage Gardens is a collection of four themed gardens that will take us through the history and culture of Singapore’s three main ethnic groups and colonial past. The first part we visit is the Malay Garden, the garden’s plants are from Malaysia Signature plants and flowers, such as Red Hibiscus. There also has a kampong house. The flowers are beautiful and colorful.
The next heritage garden is very oriental feel, YES! It is CHINESE GARDEN. Very authentic garden design with its big rock, red blossoms, round shaped gate & windows, bamboo trees. Then I just feel like doing Kung Fu! The girls are acting and posing like classic chinese sisters.
The next Heritage garden is INDIAN GARDEN, there’s a big tree in the center of the garden, instantly remind me of the Holy Tree of Siddharta Gautama Buddha. I think the garden inspired of the real Lumbini Garden. Feel sacred. We also did some yoga pose to match the Indian garden. It looks funny. This garden actually has a lot detail of Indian art too, mostly at the floor tile, fence and wall.
“SMILING BUDDHA” – As we leaving the Chinese and Indian Gardens, We found Bodhisatva or Buddha Maitreya (Ru Lai) statue (cmiiw) at the side of the pathway, sitting under a Sacred Tree. I kneel down and prayed. For the blessings.
Another part ahead is an open space with rocks.. we’re just do some drama photo here. Try to make some creative photo. Maybe you can put some caption in my photo.. My Fav is Jesse the hobbit is on the rock.
Now, we’re at the ticket booth. We will buy 2 attraction tickets – for Flower Dome and Cloud Forest. What’s inside will be very excited.. I’m sure it has beautiful things to see and remember..
Ok, let’s go!
