This is the last day in Singapore.. and the last chapter of this very long blog story I ever made.. part XIV!! There’s gonna be a lot of interesting picture upload because we’re going to Singapore Zoo! Yeay.
It’s gonna be our last itinerary, after checked out from hotel, carrying the baggages, photoshoot at my favorite MRT station for the last time and went to Junki place first to put all the baggages and having breakfast.
I still in love with the ripple effect on the wall. I wish to have this kind of thing in my future dream house/apartment (keep praying/wishing, want it so bad).
Singapore zoo is far.. even Junki has too explore using her smartphone and keep looking at the GPS/map. We used MRT and bus for a long journey to the zoo. Singapore zoo has 3 zones: the zoo itself, night safari and river zoo. River zoo is new and still under construction, Junki said there will be Panda in river zoo and probably will operate next year. Next trip will plan to go to River Safari then continue to Night Safari.
Yeay, we’re arrived! Welcome to Singapore zoo. Click-click-snap then go to buy ticket and start adventure! We bought full package ticket so we can use Singapore Zoo transport car to bring us drive through the whole zoo. Just a quick zoo tour.
Singapopre Zoo quick tour! Very exciting!
After a quick tour, now we’re on our feet and start to explore every corners of the zoo. The first section is the Frozen Tundra. This is one of the highlight in zoo. We can see a big aquarium with pool and cave. There’s a polar bear. Big and cute.. but so lonely.. just one polar bear in a big space. The water is so blue and clear.. It would be awesome if we can swim and play with the polar bear or dolphin.
Another section in Frozen Tundra, we can see some animals too. There also the Polar bear board to measure its actual size if it’s standing. You can see Junki stand beside of the Polar bear board. It’s BIG! Another interesting thing is the IGLO! I feel like we’re in North pole. haha..
We’re walking through the path follow the map, the next is the Hippopotamus area.. in aquarium with fishes. The hippo species is pygmy hippo, a smaller hippo. They’re underwater ballerina of the river. Quite interesting to see them up close, and also the size of their teeth, scary! Big and Long! I stand beside of the Hippo Board, I’m so small.. I’ll be flat if they’re squashed me down!
Baby hippo is sleeping, the fishes is cleaning his skin, and Junki kissed him.
Let’s continue to explore again, next is the highlight of the zoo, White Tiger. Only two white tigers, they’re cute but also fierce, love their charisma and attitude. In Singapore Zoo doesn’t has photobooth with tiger.. too bad.. I always want to hug them.
Sungei buaya is the special area for Crocodiles (haha, Look the way I stepped on your head). I don’t like crocodiles. But we’re still going inside. Some species of crocodiles can be seen here.. small and big. The one that surprised me is the giant crocodile that sleeping in the water inside the aquarium. It really BIG and we’re so small. I think I can fit in inside its stomach.. eww.. nasty.. scary.. Looking at its jaw makes me scare.
OK, let’s runaway from this area quick! Now we hopped into the Kangaroo Area! I think they’re friendly and want they’re hopping around the area. It’s hard to see them, they’re hiding.. try to find and take photo. They’re behind the fence, can’t take T^T. So just take it with the statue.
I love this art! feel wild and earthy!
Exploring the zoo and found a lot of good stuffs and area, such as the stone totem.. we had so much fun to take pictures here. We’re look ridiculous but fun. This area looks like a little village. Kinda interesting if see this in the zoo.
Let’s have fun at the forest, feels like Tarzan or Peterpan.
Tunnel of wood! I like it so much.. feel like we’re in the area of fairy tale or medieval dwarf/elves place. The tunnel looks awesome!
We’re arrived at Baboon area.. it’s large area with mountain trail design. A lot of baboons here. They’re fierce, they have a big red butt.. sometime looks scary because it seems like tumor on the butt. On the mountain trail, also has several mountain deers.
Monkey See, Monkey Do! or reverse ? We also have big butt! slap slap!
Can you see the bear head?
We’re keep moving and passing the lake side.. This is nice.. love the air. This is the edge of the Zoo. And this is area is Garden With A View. There’s an Orangutan bronze statue. We read it and found out the name is Ameng. Ameng is an orangutan and she is the brand ambassador of Singapore Zoo. She has passed away since 2008. A lot of people seem to love her.
Strike a pose with Orangutan family.
In the wood, we feel, we hunt, we love..
Move to a more friendly reptile, It’s Giant Turtle/Tortoise. They’re big. They can be one of the eldest animal here, they can live more than 100 year. There also a bronze statue of the giant turtle. I think the zoo staffs know that we’re thinking to ride on the turtle shell, a lot of people like to take picture with it.
We’re most done. The next area is the Cat Country. I think we’re kinda hard to found this place. All about cat and big cat. We saw wild cat, lion, jaguar, and cheetah. I love cats, especially the wild cat (dunno what its name). The cheetahs are fierce and active. They’re keep walking around, we can see them through the glass. I came close to the glass wall, and the cheetah is right in front of me. I wanna take picture with it, just when I turned my head away, the glass wall shake, the cheetah is rushing on me and hit the glass wall. wah, I’m shock.. so fierce. Lucky the glass wall is not break. After the cheetah did it, it just laying on the floor and look around.
We’re so happy with this adventure. Let’s see the animals!
Time to leave the zoo, the last section is the Singapore Zoo Store, which sell a lot of dolls and souvenirs of the zoo. Quite interesting to see all colorful animal plushie.
FINISH! This is the end of my Singapore tour, so tight, rushy but so happy to be able to visit a lot of places. We’re going back to Chinatown, take my stuff then off to Changi Airport. Junki also follow me there, until I depart. Thank you for Junki, She’s a great tour guide and friend, also Jesse. We’re all share a beautiful memory here. hopefully we can travel again together.
